Sunday supper: meat!

i’ve been trying really hard to keep my daily calories balanced with 40% carbs, 30% fat and 30% protein. unofficially Zone-ish, i guess. anyway, was super low on protein today leading into dinner, so i figured some nice chunks of red meat were my best bet to get right!

  1. sirloin kebabs marinated in oil, soy sauce and Grill-Mates Montana Steak seasoning and grilled on my indoor grill (since we still  haven’t gotten the gas one cleaned up and ready for the season. besides, it was pouring all day today, so indoors was much more pleasant.

  2. corn on the cob. nothing to report here. boil. butter. salt. pepper.

  3. arugula and spinach salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, blue cheese, Wonderful Almond Accents and Girard’s Spinach Salad Dressing.

Spy isn’t that great with steak-like objects, so there is a lot left over. plus i have Mojo-marinated chicken left over from Friday. even for me, that is a lot of meat to take down alone over the next few days. i’m sure some of it will go on salads for lunch, but you just might see a few creative re-use-it recipes in the next few days!
